Consumers want more from their providers when it comes to paying for healthcare.


We recently conducted a consumer survey around healthcare billing and discovered that when it comes to paying for their healthcare costs, consumers want three things:

  • affordable monthly payment options (60%)
  • clear communication (58%)
  • transparency around out-of-pocket costs (55%)

But are consumers getting what they want? If they aren’t: Are there negative implications for health systems when they don’t deliver on consumers’ needs?
